Samsung's fastest portable drive: up to 2,000 MB/s on a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port. For a studio that renders every day it is the 'buy once' option; for a single channel the older T7 is usually enough.
👍 Strengths
- Among the fastest portable SSDs you can buy
- Samsung's software and warranty
- Rubberised, grippy shell
⚠️ Things to consider
- Full speed only on Gen 2×2 ports — many laptops don't have one
- Runs warm under long transfers
- Price swings between capacities and sellers — compare on Amazon
Who it's for
Teams or heavy editors who move large 4K projects daily.
